Yes. there is a fascinating episode of the American TV show "American Greed", narrated by Stack Keach, on this topic if you can find it.

I've found the first 2 (sub 8 minute) CNBC installments on YouTube. It's pretty engrossing. There are loads of other documentaries and news reports on this, so it's easy to get A full picture.

If only Paul hadn't had a drink and crashed that boat with his pals onboard eh?

BBC resume on the story

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-can ... gn=KARANGA

PS I cant wait for the Netflix series/movie

So it is.

I only got Netflix in December to watch 'Glass Onion' so I'm still on a voyage of discovery with it.

Cheers!

Yes, his dumb kid sank him, literally. Although I suspect he would have been exposed eventually in any event.

I meant to say "Stacy Keach" as the narrator.

Yeah, the problems were piling up. It was, as you say, just a matter of time and Paul was just one of many triggers just waiting to be pulled. Maybe he was hoping he would be dead before he was caught, what with his opiate addiction (or a hitman!)

I'm wondering what Busters involvement in all this is. He's supported his Dad throughout the trial and there were a couple of things that showed he wasn't all that fond of his sibling.

And then there's 'cousin' Eddie the hitman. Supplied Alex's drugs, coluded in the failed hit on Alex....

Jeezo, if Disney got a hold of this there would be spin off series for every character - including Bubba the dog (even the dog is evidence!)

I need a lie down.

I watched episode one on Netflix last night. Pretty good.

It's the defence closing argument today after the jury visited the murder scene yesterday.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-64813181

....then it's up to the jury. No material evidence against Murdaugh, but he has lied on the stand about his whereabouts. He was there. He has a clear motive. And even if he does get found not guilty, theres all the other stuff hes up for.

I wonder just how many years the inevitable appeals process will drag on for? I suppose he can find a $few to fund it,!

Seeing as how when Paul was in court he was treated with kid gloves (no jumpsuit, no cuffs)
I think for Alex just being held in captivity is one helluva shock to his ego inflated self

He shot his son twice with a shotgun and his wife 'five or six times' with a hunting rifle.

He has 30 cases of financial irregularities / fraud / theft pending (including being sued by the family of the girl who died when his son crashed a boat into a bridge while drunk).

His former house keeper died after she 'tripped over a family dog and fell down the stairs' (her case is being reopened and her body is being exhumed).

I'm sure there are many more skeletons waiting to leap out of the cupboard. He's a real nasty piece of work. Which is strange. He inherited a successful family business with an overwhelmingly dominant position in the region. He inherited money. He had everything.....yet all these event unfold.

Power corrupts......
