Pouilly Fume

How on earth did we do that? OH rooting in our cellar - posh name for smallish room down a flight of steps, found two cases of Pouilly Fume 2011. We have vague memories of going to a vineyard and buying them but they'd been put away and forgotten about. We opened one, with some trepidation and it didn't taste too good but after it had warmed up to about 12 deg C it was lovely. Past it's absolute best but definitely quaffable so we're hell bent of disposing of as much as we can before dry January. Cheers.

I first read the title as "Poultry Fume". Knowing Rhyd's circumstances to be properly rural, it seemed a plausible story.

(the wine means nothing to me, and I'm off the booze altogether until I've shaken off the lurgy. Unless perhaps a wee medicinal dram from our friends in the north now that I'm off the critical list).
