What about drinkers of both ale and lager? I drink primarily ale, but will deviate in various directions, such as lager, stout, porter, weizenbier.

I presume when we are talking dimpled we are talking about these
Why do people like them, is it purely because of the handle. I quite like a straight tankard. But not these mug types. Or the dimples.
Glassware is certainly important, practically and aesthetically.

Yes, that's the ones I'm thinking of.
I like the look of them: thoroughly British and traditional. Not suitable for lager/red wine/squash. Strictly ale

Somebody I knew when I was about 13/14 was killed in a pub when somebody smashed a handle style glass over his head.
