BrewDog were one of the names that often came up in last year's "#MeToo" allegations in the beer industry. The BBC have done some digging, although the documentary was only on BBC Scotland :

The way I see it, there's plenty of other breweries to give money to, and at 800,000hl per year they not so much punk as the biggest brewing corporation that's left under UK ownership.

Not seen (or drunk) anything subsequently to change my opinion.

I had my first (and last) Brewdog experience last July. I went walking with a friend in Dumfries & Galloway for a week and we did a Tesco's order to get some groceries delivered shortly after arrival. Unfortunately, the "craft" beer selection available from the local Tesco's was abysmal, and it was a case of Brewdog Punk IPA or Brewdog Punk IPA, for drinking in during the Euros final - I had assumed none of the local pubs would have it on, what with there being the outside chance England might win :-)

The Punk IPA was OK but nothing special, the kind of thing most large breweries knock out these days as their "craft" beer. e.g. Greene King East Coast IPA. And not a patch on the Drygate Seven Peaks they had on draft in the pub across the road.

All the best, Si

I agree. I bought a 4 pack of punk IPA, only because it was half price. I'm not very motivated to drink the last two tins.

The word "craft"seems just a marketing gimmick. Put that word on the tin (rarely a bottle), make the tin smaller, and the price bigger. And Bob's your uncle.

Try the alcohol-free version, Punk AF. It's bound to change your view. Not a trace of grapefruit, none at all. Petrol, yes..... :)
