Anyone contemplating a trip to the Munich Oktoberfest had better start saving now.
According to a report in The Independent the cheapest beer is €10.60 a litre. Although the innumerate reporter calculates this as equating to nearly £5 a pint by my calculations it's over £6 a pint.
And if you're thinking of padding it out with water or pop don't bother, as they are respectively €8.73 and €9.55 a litre!

Re: Oktoberfest rip off
I guess it's priced for what the market will stand. I was at Mont St Michel the other day, the standard minimum price for a beer seemed to be €4.40 for 25cl, i.e. €17.60 a litre.
