Dog Beer

#102639

Postby Markab01 » December 8th, 2017, 12:11 am

I had a trip around a local Aldi today.

Saw a beer that I didn't recognise called "Bottom Sniffer". Thought it might be for......... ( Sorry homophobic references removed)

Found out was for for DOGS. Not fit for human consumption and even worse ... Non Alcoholic.

Even worse was that adjacent they had a drink in what appeared to be small wine bottles called Pawsecco. Something again for dogs.

My opinion is that if the four legged variety of dogs cannot drinks good British beer then they should either abstain or stop frequenting pubs.

Next time scour the shelves.

I found cartons of cat milk. The idea of diminuative milkmaids trying to milk cats had me feeling very puzzled. Oh, in our Aldi it is oposite the wine and beer.

The baby milk aisle must really confuse you.

I have an Aldi leaflet here
The Pawsecco seems to be aimed at the cat market...

No self respecting dog would drink Pawsecco!

There's an awful lot of dogs with no self respect.

There's an awful lot of dogs who had a trip to the vet when they were young.

I've known quite a few dogs who like good human drinks, like beer, cider, and tea. And of course also prefer decent human food to the toxic waste sold as pet food.

I thought that moggies would prefer sauvignon blanc.
Cat's pee on a gooseberry bush used to be a description for it.

I once worked for a large pet-food manufacturer. I have tasted the canned dogfood (it is effectively sterile) and found it a bit bland*.
Since the company concerned knows more about what pets like than anyone else on earth, presumably dogs like it that way!

* - even for me, who rarely adds salt when cooking, and never to a cooked dish

I remember back in the 1970s if there were part-bottles of beer left after a party, my parents would put them in our dogs' bowls. I've no idea how that would be thought of today (!), but the dogs seemed to really enjoy it. It's not something I'd consider doing these days - those times were long ago.

I'm sure it's was a film, some Eye-talian Americans, the father didn't appreciate the wife's cooking so she served him dog food and he loved it and the children and the wife were laughing their heads off...

no, I think it was Prince of Tides, not sure.
