HOW TO USE FULL WIDTH BOARDS

#204987

Postby Itsallaguess » March 2nd, 2019, 10:49 am

This post is designed to give users the necessary instructions for turning on the new 'Full Width Boards' setting, which allows browsers to use a wider-than-default screen area where it's available on user-devices.

This post will eventually turn into a 'STICKY post', so can I please ask that any discussions around this new functionality take place on the following discussion-thread that I've made for this specific area of interest -

https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=16542

By default, this new functionality is set in the 'Off' position, but individual users can configure it for use on their own Lemon Fool accounts by using the following link to access their personal 'Display Options' -

https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/ucp.php?i=ucp_prefs&mode=view

When the display-options panel has been accessed, the new setting can be controlled by using the highlighted options shown below -

Using the above setting, users will see that their browsers can then use the full screen-width that's available on the device they are using to visit this forum.

Hopefully this will help where large amounts of tabular-data is being discussed, but it should also help more generally with the usability of the site where users have wider screen-areas to use.

We'd be interested in any feedback on this new feature, but please do not reply to this post as it will eventually turn into a STICKY post - any discussion should be held on the following thread -

Cheers,
