I have returned after a long long time and apologies if this question has been asked, but after years, I still miss the TMF style of boards. Is there any ideas/plans to return to that style of boards, just curious.

No plans. It is also highly unlikely because as long as this format requires zero effort to maintain and only a moderate effort to tinker with, there is unlikely to be the motivation to write a server to emulate the style used at TMF.

I think the trick is to learn to love it. Not easy I know but there are some advantages to this over the MF style that only reveal themselves with time.

Although I agree that the simplicity and style of TMF is to be misssed, getting to know the intricacies of phpBB (see very bottom line of any page) is worth doing because most forums these days tend to use this format.

I miss the comments section at the bottom of their articles, which they withdrew. I often found the comments more informative than the articles themselves.
