Options?

Trying to reply to a post, I encountered an Options tab. Not something I've noticed before. I wonder what 2 of the the choices actually mean:

Disable smilies - mine or other peoples or both?
Notify me when a reply is posted - by eMail?

Disable smilies - entirely. You will still see the words but it will not be replaced with an image e.g. : smilie :

Notify reply - yes, by email. Whenever any new reply is added to the thread. Useful e.g. to know when someone has answered a question you asked.

Maybe. What that actually does is subscribe you to the topic, adding it to the list of subscriptions on your user control panel. ucp.php?i=ucp_main&mode=subscribed

What kind of notification you'll get (if any) depends on how you have set up notifications. ucp.php?i=ucp_notifications&mode=notification_options

That could be by email (when it's working ) and/or in your Notifications list (top right of every page), or not at all. I believe the default is for both.
