HYP Strategies and Practical Guidance change?

I may be wrong but I beieve that the guidance for these 2 boards has been changed/updated? Would it not be prudent when making changes to ANY boards gudiance to let the boards readers know? Just a thought as if you make changes and posters have not read them it may lead to "reports" of off topic etc.

PS The cross post reference in HYP P for strategies does not seem to match the updated Strategies guidance. Sorry if it is "on the todo list".

Also, can an "edit" note be added if or when changes are made to make it clear that there have been changes, possibly with a date, as the standard PHP does not show when an edit has been made (Ibelieve). Just thinking back to my publishing document days.

Yes it would have been wise to announce it - and thanks for raising it here so others know about it.

It was discussed by the Mods, a consensus reached and then a mod updated the guidance. It was done quite informally so didn't get an announcement.

With respect, you're mistaken. The changes to which you allude related to HYP Practical. Subsequently, changes were made to the HY Strategies guidance. I announced the HYP Practical changes, albeit belatedly, but thought that another mod would communicate the changes to the HY Strategies guidance.

I'll post an announcement tomorrow.

Thanks for that - as the OP of this thread has suggested, maybe the Guidance in question should have a last updated date on it, whether or not a formal announcement has been made.

Have noticed the "guidances" have been brought into line.

"A thought", would it not be better to add a "reply" when changes are made with what has changed and why? That way the "thread" will/should indicate it has been updated. Then posters can have a read of them, if they are following the guidelines that is.....
