What does the "rating %" mean....

It's to do with thanks/recs. It just shows a rating for those with one rec, and a rating and a count for those with multiple recs.

I guess it's something like - percentage of those who read it, recced it.

I wasn't suggesting I even understood the explanation let alone the implementation.

I assumed that Stooz was being deliberately mysterious in the way the thing works or was supposed to work. Not that it worries me one jot.

That's a very plausible explanation. Looking at app.php/toplist seems to confirm. Not sure the rounding is up but didn't check many.

I've just noticed that if you have received 1 "Thanks" you still see a % but if you receive more than one you get a count and then the % below it.

Not a problem, just thought you might be interested.

I see. My first reply on this thread does point out that you only see a count for multiple recs, and this was before stooz talked about changing anything. Hence I don't think anything's changed.

The percentage is now gone. HBEN, they only appear if you have received thanks (the thumbs up image)

Indeed, but what happens now if you get only one thanks is that the post grows a line of dashes (-----------) at the bottom, and no count anywhere in sight ... looks odd
