Remind me. What does scrolling text mean in the heading icon for a board? Every time I see the 'Tax changes' thread in the 'Taxes' board the text lines are shown rolling upwards. There is also a small red star in the corner of the thread icon (and others).

It means you made a post in that topic (and there is an unread post). [Edit: Oh I've just read that it only applies to your "hot" topics!"]

[Edit2: Totally confused now as I read the last post of such a topic of mine and nothing changed, so clearly the unread part can't be right. I think I'll shut up. :D ]

Scrolling text means it's a "hot" topic, though I'm not sure of the specific criteria that defines this.

A star indicates that you've posted on that topic.

A red icon means you've unread posts in the topic.

Scott.

In which case, I have just noticed Premium Bonds is a "hot" topic. Not easy to believe...

Or are these threads only "hot" for particular people?

It seems to be determined purely by the number of posts in a topic, and seems to be set to 50.

Scott.
