Self-updating lists

Starting today, or maybe yesterday, I've noticed an improvement.
Namely, if you use the backspace key to go back to a forum or topic list, it refreshes itself. Until now, I've had to click the refresh button myself or the read/unread list was unchanged from when I last clicked a link in it.
Was this change due to a setting in the software or as the result of an upgrade?

Backspace doesn't do anything for me (Win 10, Chrome).
What OS and browser are you using out of interest?

Sorry - I meant the back button in the browser, not backspace on the keyboard.
For the record, Win10 Pro (Creator's update and fully up to date with patches) and the Edge browser.

But, today, it's back to not updating itself!
And the PC in question hasn't been restarted since yesterday.
Very strange.

I would think that is edge. Nothing to do with us

Update:
Since applying the Fall Creator's update, the post list has refreshed itself every time I've gone back to it without explicitly refreshing it.
Whether it was that update or a tweak to Edge I'll never know, but I'm happy with this consistent and desirable 'improvement'.

Further update.
Still works in Edge but not in Firefox 58.
So the feature is browser specific. Interesting.
