I also add my thanks and congrats. My only sadness is that the sport board really hasn't taken off. There used to be some very entertaining posters on the Footie and Cricket boards on TMF. I think a generic 'Sport' board is probably too much of a mish-mash.

I wondered about that too.

Then again, three of the four "most thanked" Lemons are supporters of Liverpool FC (the fourth hates football, I believe) so perhaps the debate is over, the winner declared and there is nothing left to talk about?

I'd just like to add my heartfelt thanks. TMF was an important part of my life, and was guaranteed to put things back in perspective after a hard day in court or having spent several hours reading a 100 page share sale agreement. I was really upset when The Announcement was made, and at first I imagined that somehow or other they would change their mind so that all would be well.

But as the dread day drew nearer and the best efforts of several valiant Fools were rebuffed I resigned myself to a future that was somehow colder and greyer - like a favourite pub closing.

I'll also admit i was rather sceptical as to whether stooz and clariman could produce anything that would remotely capture the unique spirit of TMF and whether my fellow Fools would want to take part or, as I was resigned to doing, they would just all drift away.

So I'm delighted that their efforts have paid off so excellently and that such a valuable community has been retained so well. It's like a feelgood movie, where at the very last minute the TMF villagers have the derelict TMF Arms that's about to be bought by a cigar chomping property developer declared a Community Asset and then acquire and refurbish it themselves.

So cheers to both stooz and clariman for their brilliant efforts, to the moderators for their occasionally infuriating but generally splendid efforts and to all fellow Lemon Fools for continuing the great tradition of educating, amusing and enriching me - and all without the constant ping in my inbox of yet another special offer that's closing in 4 hours 35 minutes!
