I'm a bit behind the times

I seem to have come more than a little late to all of this. I had no idea that TMF had not only closed the boards but deleted all content as well! I got no warning about any of this.
It must have been well over a year ago since I was last on TMF. I used to be a frequent visitor and then tailed off somewhat as circumstances changed. But I always thought that the boards would be there. I tried to come back to do a Happy Dance and that is when I found it had gone.
Is there no way to retrieve anything from the old boards?
