#100,000 Posts?

Old habits die hard but that's an impressive landmark. 
The Statistics at the foot of the Home page would suggest that 2,500 or so posts have been (hard/soft or automatically, such as at Testing 123 ...,) deleted. That is if the post numbering is accurate.
May I ask if the newly implemented post numbering will serve any useful, rather than LoOTPtian, purpose in the future?
They aren't presently searchable, as far as I can see, at least not with ease. If they were, I'd be able to find #1, having previously thought it was Clariman's viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2&p=2#p2 but that is shown as #2.
Was #1 also the first deletion or perhaps a private message between stooz and Clariman somewhere or other?
