How do I go dtraight to a post if I know the number? Searching doesn't help. On TMF one could just type the number in to a box, but the search routines here don't cover that.

I asked similarly at the Biscuit Bar (where this thread has ended up whilst typing this) when the post numbers first appeared viewtopic.php?p=100002#p100002.

I believe the answer is you can't search but, randomly, if you wish to find post number 1000, use:

viewtopic.php?p=1000#p1000

Sometimes it is helpful to look at the sub-headers which, unfortunately, are not on the individual boards as such.

Here is the "Lemon Lounge" viewforum.php?f=19 where you should see the Biscuit Bar being introduced as:

Pull up a chair, have a biscuit - discuss the site and general questions about the LemonFool

Watch out for any crumbs.

Yes, I noticed that, once I had checked, but I've never had cause to look previously. In any case, people on the HYP practical usually know so much, I don't need to post elsewhere

I think one got to know the way around TMF just because there was a BoB which attracted one's attention to unusually places.
