"Confirm form resubmission"

#111423

Postby Clitheroekid » January 17th, 2018, 8:50 pm

Has anyone else suffered with this message recently. It's happened a couple of times to me over the past couple of days.

In the latest example I'd prepared my nugget of wisdom about CLLN broker forecasts. I used the Preview to check it, and then clicked the link to the website to check it worked, which it did.

However, when I clicked the back button to go back to the Preview I received the "Confirm form resubmission" page, which is an error page of some sort. In practical terms it meant the message had been lost.

I know I can save the draft, but I've never had to bother before, so I wondered if there was a software glitch somewhere.

Yes, me too.

It's down to corruption of the web data, so sadly I think it is just another symptom of the same problem that causes lost pages and forgotten logins. Depending on your browser, you might still be able to use page back/forward to get back to something useful.

I know stooz is looking at some major server changes. So hopefully things will improve after that

I've always found hitting 'refresh' (or F5) works in those cases and the 'form' contents reappear.

Admittedly it's never [yet] happened on here.
