Suddenly I feel very slightly ill.

Would make a very nice TV snack for the Oval Office, though. Followed by a couple of Elvis bacon and banana sandwiches (don't ask unless you really want to know ), and before very long the world might be a better place. With a bit of luck.

I was surprised that whoever was doing the cutting of the 'lids' still had the usual number of fingers.
But worthwhile: raclette made with good cheeses (and accompanied by a full-bodied tannic red wine* - or Guinness - to 'cut' the grease) can be memorable. And with a drop of brandy in the melt it is even better!

* e.g. Paulllac, or perhaps old-style oaky Rioja
