Recipe App?

#13312

Postby redsturgeon » December 8th, 2016, 12:51 pm

I often use recipes I have found on the internet and have my laptop on the kitchen counter while cooking them, I save them using "pocket".

I was thinking that there must be a better way of doing this. I have a spare iPad that would be better to usethan my Macbook and was wondering what app might be best.

I know there are some apps that are all singing and dancing but all I really need is somewhere to save recipes that I have found on the web that I like and recall them when I want to use them again.

Any ideas?

John

I used to use Paprika (but had trouble exporting recipes from the old version). Not sure what the latest version is like, but I have heard good reports.

These days, I use Pinterest.

Can you tell me how I would practically do that?

I do use pinterest but all I do is save pictures that I like for ideas for mu kitchen extension, I didn't realise it was useful for anything more.

Hi John,

Pinterest does not only save the pictures, but also the links that the pictures come from. So I have 2 or three different food related boards, and 'pin' them, selecting the most representative photo from the site. When I retrieve it, I click on the photo and it opens the site.

Of course, is the site disappears, then the recipes go, too.
