You can achieve the same effect using a spread betting account. If you are holding/rolling positions on a portfolio of HYP-like shares then some brokers apply credits reflecting the dividend payments, which will offset your borrowing costs. The discipline you must get to grips with is managing your deposit and not being too greedy with the leverage you use, that is where most punters go wrong.
