I have done this in the past, with no problem. With PINs and other data as needed.
But DAK what would happen if, say, A lends his card to B, and then there is fraudulent activity on the card? If A then admits that he loaned his card to B, could the card issuer claim that A is responsible for those fake charges, on the grounds that giving the card to B violates the T&Cs of the account? Even though B was blameless?
Or is the card issuer on the hook for those losses regardless?

There's an "if" before admitting it

I think if the issuer learns that you have loaned the card, they might even cancel it. Certainly no refund.
Own risk situation, really.

Re: Lending a credit card to someone else.
In terms of liability for fraudulent activity on the card, the answer may depend on the specific terms and conditions of your card issuer. In general, however, it is not recommended to lend your credit card to someone else. It's understandable that you've done this in the past with no issues, but it's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to something as sensitive as credit cards. If you absolutely have to lend a card to someone else, you can verify online their information to check if they have any history of fraudulent activities. That way you can avoid violating any agreements with your issuer. If fraudulent activity occurs, the card issuer may hold you responsible for the charges, even if you were not the one who made them. They usually ask you if the card has been in your possession, and if not, they will ask if anyone else may have gained access to it so they can pin the liability on you for not following the card holder agreements. Hope this helps!

Re: Lending a credit card to someone else.
Of course you can get a second card on the account, with it's own PIN, and that would have all the legal protections as normal. But I suspect a rather longer term solution than you are envisioning. And pre-approved by the issuer.
In general, if you provide the card issuer with any getout to their obligations, they'll use it. Wouldn't you?
