Just adding an explanation (which you may already know) to Mainwaring 's response - MIG, MIG 2 and MIG 4 all require additional shareholder authority to issue shares (having dis-applied pre-emption rights), hence the meetings on October 11. IGV already have such authority.

All of them have a strong track record in recent years. They were my first VCT family to pay for themselves in full (i.e. more dividend income than the net cost) without having to sell anything. But they were a pure-play MBO house, meaning that 100% of the investments that fuelled that performance are now no longer allowed, so the future is particularly unclear.

If you're looking to choose one of the Mobeus VCTs, a material difference between them is their respective dividend reinvestment schemes. Whether you intend to take or reinvest dividends could affect your choice.

Unfortunately the dividend reinvestment scemes run by Income & Growth VCT and Mobeus4 VCT are currently suspended.

They were amongst the most generous, being priced at the average mid-price of the week before issue.

The schemes were suspended following the last fund raising round, prompting my fears of more boards who have gone native, happily generating fees for the manager without giving a thought to the existing shareholders. The suspension decision was based on not needing to keep the cash in the company in both cases, yet they would have been fully aware beforehand of the rate of reinvestment and could have adjusted the fund raising accordingly.

This further fund raise suggests that it will be a long time before the suspension is lifted.

For various reasons I’ve done the small Income and Growth and Mobeus 4 top ups. Used Wealth Club as I am abroad at the moment and their online application facility, plus bank transfer means I don’t need to visit a post box. Very good service indeed. Within 48 hours I’ve also had an acknowledgement of my applications and funds by City Partnership. The rider is that should I receive an allocation....(standard wording we’ve encountered before)....this will occur in early 2020.
I have been missing Clubfinance but have to say the service investment made by Wealth Club Was ideal for me this time. No connection....
