Unsustainable Energy

Well, Ventus asset lifetime was always a question. Now they've provided a large part of the answer: it's not sustainable. But assets can be sold, and they anticipate a premium doing so.

Implications I assume for the two Hazel/Gresham renewable energy funds?

Sharesoc blogged about this today. I wonder if that means someone has received the shareholder circular promised in the RNS?

It occurs to me, I won't receive announcements if they don't come in RNS form. So if anyone here (presumably certificated holders) receives a circular by other means, a heads-up here will be appreciated.

I am certified Ventus shareholder and nothing in the post yet. Nick Curtis (now director of Ventus) will be appearing at the ShareSoc VCT webinar on 23 March, which starts at 5pm, click here for more details and to register https://www.sharesoc.org/events/shareso ... arch-2021/

Would someone be able to help me clarify how the performance fee works for a Ventus asset sale? The prospectus says 'the incentive fee, which is payable in cash, is calculated as 20% of the amount by which the Return in any accounting period exceeds 7p per share'

So for example if the sale of the Ventus VCT assets achieves 107p per share, does this mean the manager extracts 20p as their performance fee :D leaving 87p per share to shareholders?

Good point, needs checking. But surely the definition of Return here will include loss of NAV, so if they return 107p while the NAV drops by 107p then there's no performance in that.
