BSC/BSV
Excellent nav increases announced today, witnessed in share prices up 15% & 16.9% respectively, apparently partially due to performance on one of their recent investments so an uplift in Matillion, a relatively new purchase which helped herald their move away from Sport Stores specialising in hiking & fast food eateries at airports (which are best avoided), it makes one wonder if perhaps the "new rules" have had a positive impact on performance in encouraging investment away from MBO's into digitisation, for instance.
Certainly food for thought, also most convenient in coming a few weeks before this years fundraise....

British Smaller Cos (BSV) and British Smaller Cos 2 (BSC) have both announced today interim dividends of 5p per share to be paid on 16/11/21
British Smaller Cos 2 (BSC) will also (as previously announced) pay an interim dividend of 1.5p on 25/10/21

Re: BSC/BSV
Not only do these dividends return some of our money to us, they help to reduce the companies' cash piles.
They can then be replaced by cash from new issues which means more time to invest.

So Christmas has really come early as I suggested then?
Very generous divis imho
Indeed! - but I only hold BSV.
However we also hold Octopus Aim2, Pembroke, and Amati - all bringing good cheer with dividends (3.8p, 3p and 4.5p respectively) in November

Crown Place is also paying a big divi in November.
They always pay in November, but this one is three time bigger than its predecessor.
This is where I regret having got rid of BS1 raising funds for the house . But I still hold BS2

Re: BSC/BSV
Today we have 2 RNS' 1 from BSC, interim management statement & 1 from BSV, half year report, both very upbeat & confident that the £40m just raised will be put to good use.
One would hope so as BSC, for instance, appears to have earned a £4.1m performance fee if their valuations hold up in their final quarter, according to their "overview".
I guess a similar amount, % wise will be awarded BSV but I did not see an estimate for that, probably as it is only their H1.
I do wonder how much British Patient Capital Bank will affect vct's generally for they are now making substantial investments as per news article today, are they out bidding vct's or are they providing scale ups for vct start ups, a question that I guess only time will tell ?
Meanwhile we holders can enjoy our dividends

Re: BSC/BSV
Hi all - did anyone receive a tax certificate yet on respect of the recent raise? My share certificates arrived last month but no tax voucher and I can't find any details to download one online?
Thanks for any advice!
