Thames Ventures VCTs

Never heard of them, right?

Word has it these will be the new names for the Downing VCTs taken over by Foresight (see this thread)

Downing FOUR mentioned it will soon be known as Thames Ventures VCT 2. Companies House shows that Downing LLP registered this name and also Thames Ventures VCT 1 last week.

I see from the TV1 half yearly that things are down a bit because they could not invest in a company that now exceeds the gross assets test. More interestingly another problem was one of its holdings experienced a decrease in valuation due to a co-investor being on a UK sanctions list. Does anyone have any idea about what this could mean ?

Investment is hard enough without all these additional nuisances.
