Interactive Brokers Account Management website change

Postby SeagoonN » June 23rd, 2018, 1:43 pm

IB have changed their Account Management website to "Client Portal" which now includes the ability to trade and see the state of your portfolio as well as run all the usual reports and messages.

The trading function is rather basic and, as far as I can see, you will still need to use the separate Trader Workstation for anything serious such as bid/offer prices (delayed or real-time depending on your subscription), currency exchange/trading etc.

This is still a welcome improvement over the previous arrangement where Account Management was totally separate from everything else.

From my perspective you had Account Management as a sub-function of the Web-Trader trading frond-end.
Then Trader Workstation, their professional trading portal, which TBH is so high-end and whizz-bang, I've had no need to even look at for a couple of years.
