Merchants IT :
HYPTUSS run at
4:28pm at 511p
4:32pm at 493p
Even though there is a 15 minute delay, the price of Merchants "corrected" just after 4:30pm.

And now (4:48pm) it's back at 513p.
It's interesting(?) to note that all the error prices are at the same price of 513p ... see the interactive chart at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MRCH.L?p=MRCH.L whereas the correct prices around 492p do vary, as expected.
Absolutely no idea what is going on

edit... and now, at 4:52pm it's back at 492

I've not actually seen this price-error in action on a specific stock, although I know it must be happening on at least one holding in my portfolio because I've seen unaccountable sways in my portfolio value that I assume is due to this issue.
For anyone that has seen it happening on a specific stock though, can I please ask if the Yahoo Finance page for the stock also shows the incorrect price at the same time as the HYPTUSS data is incorrect?
Cheers,

The data from yahoo shows numerous spikes.
The fault would appear to be with Yahoo.

Thanks very much monabri - that does look conclusive.
Whilst it's annoying when these things happen, Yahoo do seem to get back up and running fairly quickly when these price anomalies have occurred in the past, so hopefully that's also the case this time too.

Here's a plot of Merchants from 15th March to close of play today. Things start to go flakey about 23rd April.

Re: HYPTUSS Data
Just a quick thought. When I noticed this a few days ago, I thought that the anomalies were NAVs for some ITs. This certainly applied to WPCT but I've not had chance to check others.

That's a good shout Instep - thanks for this.
With regards to the Merchants chart that monabri has kindly posted earlier (https://postimg.cc/TyyYZp1g), where the price seemed to be regularly popping up to 513p, I tried to see if there were any public records of that price being shown for the Merchants NAV, and indeed there are -

https://citywire.co.uk/investment_trust_insider/investment-trusts/investment-trust-factsheet.aspx?FundID=3093
So that seems to be two examples of the NAV price perhaps being an incorrect anomaly in the actual price information.
Hopefully it'll settle down this week.

Me too, and I'm not sure I've got a good excuse for doing so...
Well spotted PD!

Re: HYPTUSS Data
I updated out of hours, and all IT prices seem to be fine. Daytime prices do seem to pick of the NAV prices for some ITs - maybe all, though I haven't checked.
