HYPTUS 'No div'

#337075

Postby bailey56 » August 31st, 2020, 7:28 am

Hello all,

I'm getting 'No Div' for all my shares when clicking update dividends using Stockopedia.

Is this a forecast of things to come?

;-)

Running Libreoffice version - version b-m.ods of the HYPTUS.

We're hoping this is a temporary situation regarding the Stockopedia data-source, so in the meantime all we can recommend is to set a different 'Data source for Dividends' on the 'Parameters' sheet for now, and we'll see how the Stockopedia situation develops..

Thanks for the quick reply and for all your's and Kiloran's work in providing the spreadsheets.

I'll do as you suggest and switch to another source for now.

Stockopedia moved to a new server and this broke the dividend functionality. They just confirmed they are looking into it, which is a relief. I feared that they had deliberately removed the dividend data

Data and analysis is one of their strengths it would be very odd for them to remove it. Make you pay for it, well that's another thing. I suspect its available free to entice you to pay for some of their other offerings.

That's odd. I checked HYPTUSS 11.72 with just BP and it worked fine. I then added 4 more shares and BP was OK but the other shares showed "No Div". The Stockopedia website looks fine for all shares.

I'll investigate

We understand the problem now, there is a change in the way Stockopedia works. We can see a couple of potential fixes

I suspect something local is going on because mine's working fine, and I've also just tested the latest vanilla download on the main site and it's also working without any issues -

You may be right, I had a couple of other websites time out (National records for Scotland was one) I'll try again from home. Different computer, different network, and see if that makes a difference.
