MS Money Communication error

#112630

Postby genou » January 22nd, 2018, 6:55 pm

After having got to the point where I could construct valid OFX input files, I have broken something in MS Money.

Any attempt to import an OFX now gets " A communication error occurred. Please try your call again...... "

It seems there was once a KB article on this subject, but it is now gone and I can't find it repeated anywhere. Any clues as to what I have achieved here? Or better yet, to how to fix it ?

This thread has some suggestions and, crucially, a copy of the full text from that missing KB :)

It is pretty good stuff. Not sure why I missed finding this, but /sigh/ none of it fixes the issue. It's not the end of the world, just annoying - I got a handful of OFX imports to work, and then seem to have provoked Money in to trying to go online, and twisted its knickers. Bummer.
