I also get the bad gateway but on googling for the block of text you quoted in italic found them okay

The url still looks identical to the one in the post

http://100photos.time.com/

But it still gives a bad gateway, blast it!

9 x Swiss Air Force F-18 Hornets touch down earlier on today for a month long night flying exercise.

http://www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/v ... 6&t=154952

Apparently, local Swiss regulations mean that they can't carry out this type of exercise at home in case it disturbs their local population......

I'm sure lots of the famous photographs shown will have been seen by many here, although I'm sure there will be some surprised for the majority of photo buffs, but to also have this collection available on one page, with an accompanying story to each of them when they are individually examined, is a great way to spend some time during these dark and cold nights.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I have, although please be warned that some are really quite poignant.

Just to let everyone know that the above link (http://100photos.time.com/) seems to be working again now, and is well worth spending an hour on with a glass of something nice.

Cheers,

For sale sign on it :D Looks creepy, doesn't it ? :) I have no idea how old it is and what the hell the architect was thinking :D

Wow look at that. Unfortunately the listing seems to have disappeared from their books. Perhaps a Lemon swooped on it? ;)
I'd be interested to know a bit more of it's history. I'd have a guess at 1967-72, a play-boy hill-top den of iniquity :P

From what I can find, it's in Linguaglossa in Sicily.

Designed in the 70s

A snip at €100,000.

Scott.

Wow, thanks, it's on Mt. Etna in Sicily :) I'm going to send the listing/pictures to an architect friend, I expect he'll enjoy seeing it.

A Falcon 9 rocket launches the secretive Zuma payload, and lands its first stage back at Cape Canaveral.

A three-photo long-exposure composite photograph -

Interesting Reddit thread here for more technical info on the above rocket -

Some more fantastic photos here from the 18 year-old photographer of the above -

Thanks!

I am a bit of an anorak when it comes to redwoods, sequoias and notice quite a few in your photo - could you give the location please?
