Not here in N Wales it isn't. I can't remember such a mild December, today the sun has been shining, there are clematis flowering in the garden and daffs are starting to poke their little spikes through the soil. What is happening???

It was 15c last Xmas here in the south.

I believe storms are on the way so although it may not be a white Xmas it will probably be wet and windy.

Just back from a week in Minnesota where it was parky. I think the high while I was there was -18. Apparently that's pretty unseasonably cold (-5 is more like the norm for that time of year). Just depends where you are I guess.

Was it?

Evenings getting lighter already, and the nearest we've had to cold weather was a few days about a month ago. Will I have occasion to dig out the winter clothes at all?

OK, that's not so unusual in a grey, wet season. But this year has been very predominantly bright and dry, which customarily goes with the frosty nights. :o

I have 44 steps up from the road to my front door. I've been dreading the time they get icy, but this is my fourth winter here and it hasn't happened yet.
