Re: vaping
I'd vote for out.
Interestingly we went to our favourite lunch pub on Friday and the landlord asked somebody to take their vaping outside because it was not covered under their insurance.
Or it could just have been the terrible smell. No idea what it was supposed to be but it seemed to have a strong component of dried manure

Re: vaping
A lot of places ban vaping as it sends misleading messages apparently.

Re: vaping
Does the 'vape' smell? I can't say I've ever noticed anything.
It does seem that a lot of people want it treated in the same way as fags. It's not actually illegal to vape in enclosed spaces is it? If I was someone using it and was asked to stop I'd take my business elsewhere.
A lot of non-smokers said they didn't use pubs because of cigarette smoke. I wonder why they don't use pubs now. Since the cigarette ban pubs have been closing all over the country because their trade has dried up. It seems a shame, they were part of our heritage.
(I don't smoke or vape, I do drink.)

Re: vaping
Has anyone else noticed great clouds of smoke being emitted from vehicle windows, particularly when they are, for example, stopped at traffic lights? Just recently I've seen quite a few such clouds, usually emanating from the driver's window.
I assume these must be from `vapers', as I never noticed it from people who smoked ordinary cigarettes. You might see a bit of smoke now again, but not a big cloud of it. But as I assume that vapers normally inhale the smoke I don't understand how these clouds are created.
Or perhaps people are just smoking joints in their cars nowadays!

Re: vaping
The issue I think effects people is that clearly you have to inhale whatever they are blowing out.
When you drink a whisky, no after effect is felt being in close proximity.
Also there are plenty of people (me included) still don't trust the laws, unlicensed manufacturers or tests on health yet.
It took years to work out cigarettes are harmful. I don't think enough is known about vapes long term effects. But that's just my opinion. so for now I don't wish to breath it in, since I have no idea if its tobacco based, nicotine based or just cherry menthol steam...

Re: vaping
I think it's glycerin/water-based vapour, with nicotine (which is absorbed by the user) and flavourings
Amazed at how much vapour some of the bigger devices produce, like a steam train pull in out of a station!

Re: vaping
Yes some of the devices are ridiculously huge and produce massive clouds. It is mostly water vapour, with some flavourings, but can be quite pungent.
I beg to differ. Whisky breath can be very powerful.

Re: vaping
I make my own eliquids from PG, VG and flavours suspended in PG and VG.
50% PG, 30% VG, 2 x 10% VG flavours (black cherry and vanilla custard).
PG - propylene glycol - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propylene_glycol
VG - vegetable glycerin - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycerol

Re: vaping
I use the Gamucci 'capsules' in a small 'fake fag' eCig I really need to invest in a better solution using bottles of liquid. The Gamucci 2.2% give a reasonable 'blast' so would want to get something equally effective

Re: vaping
I will have a look, thanks.
(So many different options available, and there are several 'vape shops' around here - suffering from analysis paralysis)
