Hope this post is appropriate.
Our neighbour is bedridden and immobile. She requires daily attendance by carers.
EVERY day, 24/7, 365 days, two young carers (always young women, possibly with young families) arrive at her home. They attend roughly at 6am, 11am, 5 pm and about 10pm. This has happened right through the pandemic, no furlough for them.
The carers are always cheery, laughing, talking animatedly between themselves. I am in awe of these young carers for the astonishing service they provide.

Amen to that. My mum has carers 5 times a day and they are absolutely brilliant. Some are good, most are simply brilliant. I make sure their bosses are aware of their performance.

Agree with all that and they get paid not a lot for what they do. My MiL is 92 and has carers in 2x per day and they get messed around from pillar to post by their management.
