For what do you wish when you come to the Fool,
To be independent, financially cool,
Listen to them who have gone here before,
Advice that will save you from blood and from gore,
Patience and virtue, good discipline too,
Take it from me, The Fool is for you.

The years have rolled by and gone are a few,
They’re evening mists and morning dew,
Never to leave this Foolish old place,
Leaving us with words of wisdom and grace,
Twas ever it so and ever will be,
Community thoughts and all of them free.

Joke or relax, talk films and TV,
Find solace for all in Comfort Café,
Discuss the market and what to buy,
Sipp drinks in the snug and eat yummy pork pie,
Calm shaky nerves as the markets collapse,
Now buy them down to prevent a prolapse.

It’s dogged, it’s fun, a Foolish reprise,
Join in the debate and find with surprise,
A place for all, good chat and great cheer,
Jam tarts and warm scones and butternut beer,
Tell them you came and gave it your best,
For Fooldom will give you life’s little known test.

You can sing, or may dance, but never forget,
The knowing of the wisdom, the Foolish three step,
Lower your debts, increase your pay,
And savings to put for later a day,
Retirement comes and catches us all,
So be it now and set out your stall.

Go you Fool and never give ground,
Save up the pennies, take care of the pound,
Keep happy, keep well, and plan for that time,
When you may be living on nowt but a dime,
Pay heed to them, the countless old Fools,
They’re battered and weary and now have the tools.

A final redoubt, a call from the many,
It ends with a pound and starts with a penny,
Research your way and Foolishly plan,
With the help of The Fool you know that you can,
Live frugal in peace and not overdrawn,
With banks all miserable and deeply forlorn.

Debt free, and living within your pay,
Start saving up now for retirement day,
No risks to take until Foolishly wise,
Watch for the snakes all in their disguise,
Welcome to Fool, where Foolish abounds,
Take care of the pennies and count the pounds.
