Re: Boris or no Boris
Even with just 60% of Tory MP's in support of BJ, that's still more support than if the entire Labour party supported SKS. 215 MP's vs 200 MP's or thereabouts.
The media frenzy attempt to oust him are getting down to the dregs, clutching at straws. I suspect he'll continue on, and perhaps do OK come the next GE when countering AS as leader of Labour.

Yeah and to celebrate there'll be a squadron of pigs flying by. He's toast.

Boris will never leave the Tory party. (Until he does.) I don't think he's a good prime minister.

There are quite a number of people who know him well who say (and have said since before he was PM) that he is utterly unfit for high office.
Rory Stewart's piece on his weak association with the truth is worth a read.

Re: Boris or no Boris
The labour party are loving this, they must be hoping that Boris stays in charge until the next election as he is the gift that keeps on giving.
Boris is now nothing more than a laughing stock among most of the Conservatives I know. This is a rural area and most farming families are staunch Conservatives. Even they have got sick of the number of lies told by Boris and his cronies who cover for him. The party stinks now like it did in the days of the Hamiltons and Jonathan Aitken.
Get rid of Boris now and give his replacement time to get his feet under the table before the next election. Starmer is a grown up despite the attempts to blacken his name, if he once gets into power and gets rid of the loony left it may be a long time before he can be removed.

Starmer is a thoroughly depressing prospect.
Sadly, he appears the lesser of the two evils.
Put those together, and someone might be looking to a well-timed rebranding. Someone who knows you only have to fool some of the people some of the time, and is a past master of that.

only because the electorate seem incapable collectively of seeing past a two party system.
its not as if there are no other parties to vote for.

How can he stay on?
In the immediate term... give Nadine Dorries two vodka cruisers and she'll stab anyone that goes near him.

Wouldn't she fall flat on her face while trying to stab anyone in the back?
Some interesting moments. Sajid Javid's speech was good. And there was a most extraordinary interview with a toady trying to rival Dorries on the World at One just now.

Re: Boris or no Boris
Had to laugh at today's Daily Mash story -
'Boris and Carrie Johnson announce birth of new baby Jesus'
https://www.thedailymash.co.uk/politics/boris-and-carrie-johnson-announce-birth-of-new-baby-jesus-20220706222982
A Downing Street spokesman said: “We are delighted to confirm that Mrs Johnson conceived, gestated and birthed a baby overnight and that it is Jesus, returned again after his ascension to heaven two thousand years ago.
“As such, the prime minister will be taking a break from official duties for a few days to spend time with his wife and the divine Lord, as you would expect from such a committed family man.
Cheers,
