Nope. They will just keep following you. Earplugs would be more effective.
Or a 12-bore.

And on a similar note - Trump has suggested infection with disinfectant ("kill or cure?") or putting bright light into the body.
I suppose it would make a change to the "I slipped in the shower and landed on my maglite" excuses the A&E hear.

Did you manage to get a photo of the interception? Even if its just a wee black blob, I could apply some creative image restoration to it

The Lossie squadrons seem to have been buzzing around over the Grantown area tonight (Monday), with an RAF KC2 Tanker from Brize Norton flying circuits out at sea beyond Fraserburgh. The fun seems to have ended before midnight, and the tanker is almost back home. Interestingly the Tanker is emitting the signals that allows it to be tracked on the FlightRadar app - but the Typhoons remained invisible - as do the Tie Fighters.
However the RAF have kindly supplied visual images (from another Facebook post 4 hrs ago):-
Just a quick reminder that we have entered our second week of night flying, enabling our pilots to gain essential currencies and competencies ahead of operations in the UK and overseas.
Callsigns JEDI41 - 43 were photographed on the ground moments ago, preparing to scramble against suspected TIE fighters.
The flying window is from 1430 - 0030 daily, concluding on Fri 15 May.

3. No pretending to enjoy festivals is the only one I disagree with , as I love them.
In the good old days anyone who didn't like festivals could go to a "V Festival", and have a dreadful time listening to pop music and paying £5 for a bottle of water. And served them right.

From the Lossie Facebook page

They seemed to be in action again last night - along with Cobham EW aircraft. I had previously assumed that the RAF trained against other RAF or NATO aircraft. I wasn't aware that a private firm (Cobham) was involved. Interesting article:-

“Once again the Mash nails it...”
with the GDPR cookie management option labelled “Whatever”!
And Cobham was recently sold to the US. Perhaps that was what they were meaning by flying with the dark side.

Apparently, during the last big exercise at the base, they were using Cobham jets to simulate cruise missiles.
I was completely unaware of the private enterprise involvement until this latest series of exercises.
Incidentally the tanker (an Airbus Voyager KC3) is up patrolling off the coast near Fraserburgh tonight (in refuelling corridor AARA 4) - so I suspect there will be more fun and games before midnight.

Bonny night out tonight though. The lowest tide I've seen in a long time and it was still 3 hours before the lowest point.
I'm afraid my daily exercise walk doesn't reach a tidal area - more's the pity. But we can't complain - we have lots of surrounding countryside.

Still couldn't see them until the pair of the jets streaked a couple of hundred feet above us. I did get a few pics, but the mobile camera just does not do them justice.

Typhoons. 2 of 'em. At speed. They are there - honest!

It's changed my life.
On various Androids you can double-tap the power button to launch the camera. This is usually the fastest way to launch it.
Some others (eg. Moto) may offer a double wrist twist gesture to launch, though IME not so reliable or as fast as the power button...
Go into your Settings (two finger swipe down, then Cog), and if on newer Android versions simply enter "camera" in the Search settings box and look for something like "Jump to camera" or similar.

No more excuses - we now expect full frame photos of the Typhoons - not just a couple of dust specks in the distance that old eyes can't see

And if I ever am allowed back at the Loch, maybe I'll be able to use your tip to catch a photo of an Osprey poaching one of our trout.

Well I'm damned, I've had that phone for 18 months and never knew that. (LG K8). Thanks!
