There's not a lot that surprises me these days but I am truly astonished that so-called 'reality TV star' Kylie Jenner wiped $1.3bn (£1bn) off Snap's stock market value after tweeting that she no longer used its messaging app.
Celebrity Kim Kardashian's half-sister posted: "sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me... ugh this is so sad' to her 24.5 million Twitter followers following which snap's shares dropped like a stone.

Its not that these vacuous so called stars have so many similarly vacuous followers.
Its the sheer power of what seems to have been a throwaway remark.

Fellow snuggers, I believe we have just witnessed a threshold moment in market manipulation.
It gives these people and those who influence them incredible power to manipulate the markets like they have never been manipulated before.

How's the Grand National write-up coming on?

Many people use the weather and surrounding countryside to alert them to the onset of spring, and the coming of warmer temperatures.

For me, it's always a terribly dull and dark winter until your Grand National post pops up, and it's only then that I can really start to look forward to the spring and summer.

On a serious note, this is one more case of the convergence of celebrity and royalty. Well-behaved royalty don't tweet precisely because they know a casual comment could have stupid and unintended effects, but Charles (and his spawn) occupy a bit of a grey area with personal opinions.

The Kardashians are famous for being famous and are a sign of the times we live in that people can be so easily persuaded to follow the lives of complete strangers.

I am as interested in the Kardashian's lives as they are in mine.
