Bizarre bio

#123321

Postby Clitheroekid » March 9th, 2018, 12:09 am

I was listening to something on the radio the other day and as I'd not heard the name of the presenter (Tina Daheley) before I Googled it.

One of the results that popped up was this - https://articlebio.com/tina-daheley

It's quite bizarre, and appears to have been written either in a foreign language that's been poorly translated into English, or - perhaps more likely - by a computer that's simply assembled information from other websites and mixed it together into this mess.

Some of the sentences are quite humorous:

She is very interested in football and hence supports [expletive deleted]. (Shome mishtake shurely!) ;)

Net Worth
It is unknown how much Tina Daheley earns in a year. Looking at her job and position, it can be assumed that her salary is in at least five zeros figure. Hence, her net worth is also believed to be more than a million pound.

Since her ring finger is empty, it means, she is neither married nor engaged.

And best of all:

Personal Traits
Thirty-five years old Tina Daheley has an appalling personality.

There are biography factories out there which pay students £5 a time for this sort of work. Or maybe £2, or even nothing at all. They bill themselves as "your chance to make it into journalism", and the poor mutts get taken in.

By the look of this one, it was assembled in some country where the use of the definite article is not normal, or at least not mandatory. The fact that the author is named as just "Clarence" seems significant.

I like 'Her date of birth, birthplace, information on her parents and childhood is a complete mystery'.

That is, a mystery apart from complete details being given in the 'short biography on Wikipedia' that he refers to (and has apparently copied information from, such as 'raised in Perivale, West London') lower down.

This one's fun as well: https://articlebio.com/huw-edwards

[Huw] Edwards is father of 5 children and his wife name is Vicky Flind whom he married with. She is also BBC producer working along with him and her work also includes editing This Week with credit. Currently with their children they are moving on with amazing family. He has also won many awards in his professional life including his career achievement. Once, he got proposed by school love he was very shy and ignored positively mentioning being married.

Likely somewhere in East Asia. Many youngsters out that way adopt a Western name in their teenage years and use it for life alongside their birth/home-language name. I've met people all under 30, all of Chinese extraction, who have styled themselves Terence, Doris, Edna [she was HOT! ], Enid and so on. I suppose what they don't see is how names get reused across time, but go through spells of being strikingly out of fashion. Much like Clarence might be...

Thanks for the reminder. I hadn’t recalled Clarence starred in a film before Daktari. There’s a short article linked below about his eyesight and temperament etc:

Many youngsters out that way adopt a Western name in their teenage years and use it for life

Most of our Chinese students all adopted a Western name - and told us that they did this to make our lives simpler - since we often found it difficult to handle their Chinese names. Sometimes their choices raised a few smiles!
