As a big MC Escher fan, I remember the utter delight in visiting Ravello on the Italian Amalfi coast and instantly recognising the buildings and landscapes from his lithographs.

Mind you, I was able to make it to the top of all the staircases that I encountered!

You might also like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drawing_Hands, and the list of Escher's works at the bottom of the page indicates there are quite a lot that aren't among the 88 in the Boston Library collection. Most of them don't have Wikipedia pages, but a few do - and the list of image titles could well be useful for searching the others out elsewhere on the internet.
