How many more years are we to suffer this...what an idiot that Kyle Walker is....saw this in slow motion and a deliberate thwack to the others persons heard/neck. Ref spotted it. Regardless, if Tunisia win this one or even draws we will be out and don't deserve a plane journey home and should be made to walk home...............

must try that one...just got one of those emails from TMF for using WTF.
From TMF? The email must have taken the scenic route

Perhaps there are still a few TMF moderators in hiding somewhere, waiting for instructions from Motley Fool High Command - like those stranded Japanese soldiers who didn't realise the war was over until 1974 or something...

TMF USA is a fair distance http://boards.fool.com/lies-and-distort ... 98038.aspx
Incidentally, back in Anglo Saxon world, search here reveals 3 pages of that abbreviation (some being quoted repeats).

Tunisia aren't rubbish. England had no luck, two stonewall penalties denied and Sterling who can't quite decide which leg to use. When he went off and Rashford and Loftus Cheek came on England dominated. Loads of missed chances but a result. Confidence is key for a young team.
Not saying I have any hope though.

Re: The World Cup 2018 general pub chat thread.
I thought England played very well for the first 20 minutes. Loads of good runs and penetrating passes. In fact, for that period they were probably the best team I have seen so far in the competition. Then after the soft (but valid) Tunisia penalty they reverted to the negative England of old and were lucky to win it.
Sterling was shocking. BBC: "Sterling has scored only twice in 39 internationals and has not scored in his past 21." Nowhere near good enough for a striker. Definitely time to dump him and give others a chance.

So it happens here as well...shame. Now I understand why this was brought up in the first place. Soul is one thing but when the "humour' part is also under review, that's a shame.

In case you missed it, there's an ongoing thread at the "Biscuit Bar" where, amongst other matters, swearing is mentioned in passing (on page 2):

Seems to be either Matthew, the Brazilian left wing, or a half completed table tennis score, in old money.

Re: The World Cup 2018 general pub chat thread.
I dunno why tv stations think it's entertaining to show a montage of all the goals in the tournament so far with the commentators bawling like idiots in quick succession. It's most irritating.
Even worse if you listen to 5 Live (radio) - they replay the most exciting highlights of sports events, which being radio, are simply commentators getting excited.

You're all a bunch of moaners. God, I'm a cynic but even I can admit to quite enjoying the tournament so far. Not a lot but a bit....

Top 3 simulations so far.
3rd - take your pick of any of 20 Neymar rolls and screams in Brazil's first match.
2nd - Iranian goalkeeper's pain tonight when Diego Costa almost stepped on his foot.
1st - Portugal's Pepe for falling to the ground after being patted twice on the shoulder.

1st Agreed from what I saw.
2nd Not sure. I thought Costa may have landed on his toe. Those modern day football boots aren't made of much, I think.
3rd Didn't watch and wouldn't be surprised but, more generally, some of the accusations of diving etc by the panels are, possibly, somewhat biased.
