There's this planet, Earth, where the dominant species has recently evolved to the point where they have started to explore space - so be prepared.
However, observations suggest it may be some time before they have sufficient mastery of their resources to come visiting. For instance, several million of them get into their individual carbon dioxide generating machines at the same time every day and sit there producing vast amounts of the stuff for considerable periods of time - yet they don't appear to be able to produce enough to keep them in food and drink.
Still, they are probably worth keeping an eye on in the future...

Re: Watch out universe!
Indeed. And I’m not sure what they use their horns for; perhaps an evolutionary legacy.
They seem strangely susceptible to some small two-legged parasites that either steal their milk or kill them, and they don’t yet appear to developed a homocine against these parasites.
They also produce a lot of methane which may increase global warming on our planet Neptune which already has quite enough of it.
But we will welcome them anyway with a traditional warm 'Mooooo' (their language is very simple - just a series of grunts).

Well they do produce enough, but they burn or otherwise destroy much to keep "prices" up, while ensuring that the distribution of food and drink is not logical.

Re: Watch out universe!
The curiosity is that the brewers were the principal source of CO2, and still produce vast quantities in the fermentation process. Diageo, as a successor to The Distillers Company, seem to be missing a trick.
The answer is, of course, to stick to real ale.

There was a thing about this on BBC Anglia news the other night and the pub in question, although appearing to sell real ale, used CO2 to deliver it to the pumps.
Luckily I still have ones where the beer engines make the right noise, or where it is gravity fed behind the bar.

Re: Watch out universe!
So do we. There's enough natural pressure in most beers, anyway. How else is a barmaid to develop her attributes?
