It's a grim day in politics when I find myself empathising with the useless May. So now the talk is of Michael Gove as Foreign Sec? I don't know why they don't just appoint Arlene Foster and do the job properly.

Not for the first time this year, I'm missing the anarchic spirit of Spitting Image, which was so often the only sane voice in town. What would they have done with this situation?
