I quite like watching championship athletics. Some of you may be watching the European championships on BBC this week.
I'd just like to ask what is the point of the ubiquitous mascot? Now every event has some tosser in a bear outfit making a nuisance of himself and generally being embarrassing. Legalise bear hunting for these occasions I say.

I put 4 smiley emojis at the end of a post earlier this week as did Mr hiriskpaul in reply, and both our posts were moderated down to one emoji by Mr Raptor citing four as being excessive.
I've kept well out of the current spat about Mr Dod and his farewell announcement on the basis that being a Mod must be a thankless task overall, and without them, there'd be no board. All power to the Mods I say.
Anyway I took my virtual slap on the wrist squarely on my virtual chin and moved on, and will henceforth avoid excessive emoji-ing
