I went to seen ABC perform with a full orchestra a couple of years ago (and I see they are touring with an orchestra in 2019) and it was fantastic. The orchestra was conducted by Anne Dudley who was the music arranger for their album The Lexicon of Love (and also a member of The Art of Noise among many other accomplishments)

Thanks so much!! I'm an amateur musician (with the emphasis on amateur!) and am always mesmerised when I see an orchestra playing with contemporary bands. These are brilliant.
When I was little , I used to laugh at the poor guy whose job it was to play the small triangle at the back of the orchestra. Years later, I realised how important it is, how that small but sharp sound works to drag the emotion out of you. Likewise here. The flutes, violins, xylophones and good percussionists bring out the best!
