Re: Anyone else remember this . . .?
Yes I do, but I can't say I'm proud of the fact
To save others the trouble, it's a vid of Little House on the Prairie, a [now] pretty horrible hokey US TV programme from... hmmm the late 60s/early 70s.

Not cool dude. If you don't like it, fair enough, but please don't spoil it for others.

I wasn't wishing to offend/annoy, just I think posting blind-links and expecting people to open them isn't constructive, or considerate, since for example perhaps many people will never have heard of this pretty ancient TV programme.

Or just me?
I don't think there are many people who haven't heard of it! Brings back some nice memories.
Wasn't there a more catchy tune though, maybe at the end?
I remember watching this but strangely I don't think I ever saw The Waltons.
An era when there were loads of westerns with dust storms, indian attacks, long treks through the desert, plenty of fighting etc, yet they all seemed to have very clean clothes and the women looked like they'd been 3 hours in the hairdresser!

Ronald Reagan's favourite TV show, wasn't it? But probably a little too intellectually challenging for the present WH incumbent.

Not Happy Days or the Waltons....
If anyone is interested there was a discussion about Laura Inglis Wilder on Radio 4 'Great Lives' last week. She was the author of the Little House books, which were loosely based on her own life story, and on which the TV prog was even more loosely based. It seems that her stories are all a wee bit racist for some modern readers, so her prominence in American literary circles has been reduced. Although I don't think the TV prog was as dark as the books. Frankly I never had any interest in either, the Radio programme was mildly interesting though.

Hah! You're right!
Same era though, at least roughly, so I'll forgive myself that little faux-pas (but thanks for pointing it out!)
I did enjoy Little House though, and in a way it set the scene for my thorough enjoyment much later in life of Lark Rise - I think there seems to be something with that gentle, country-life that has resonated with me since I was a child. Grizzly Adams was the same - I often thought that sort of lifestyle, out in the wilds somewhere, would be absolutely fantastic.
Life seems to fly by too fast nowadays - it seems that we've really got to force ourselves to take our foot off the gas sometimes...
Cheers,
Itsallaguess
