BBC weather was getting pretty accurate around here, before they switched it away from the met office.

Nowadays I see spring at the bottom of the garden. With both laurustinus and heather flowering, and complemented by various pollinating insects up to the size of some kind of bee, not quite the fat bumblebee but bigger and darker than the classic honeybee.

BBC online weather is just confusing. They do a percentage possibility of rain each hour with little symbols above to indicate rain, cloud, sun etc.

The trouble is the 2 things seem to have no relationship. in one hour there might be a 30% chance of ran and the symbol will be cloud, the next hour might be 20% chance of rain and the symbol will be rain, 40% chance of rain with a sun symbol.

I ignore it normally and use net weather radar. Not much use for temperature but if you want to see if it is going to rain it shows the rain across the country and you can watch how it has moved over the last couple of hours. It is relatively easy to decide if it is going to rain, how heavy and at what time in the next few hours. It's easy to zoom in to your own area and it updates every 5 minutes.

I use the app Weather & Radar UK, from WetterOnline GmbH, which seems pretty reliable. At least you can see where the rain or snow is.
