I've just noticed that the number of members has hit 3,999.

Who will be the lucky one to be the 4,000th?

I realise that the membership list probably contains a good few that were just spammers, and others that have been and gone or who have never posted, but it's still a considerable achievement in just a couple of years - onwards and upwards!

You're probably looking in two different places. The very bottom of the Home Page says this:

"Total posts 190436 • Total topics 15416 • Total members 3999 • Our newest member dsloan29"

Whereas the Members list in the pull down menu says 3989.

Your 3,989 comes from the Member List memberlist.php.

Yes, some have asked for their records to be removed. I saw one the other day where the profile shows a nothing. However, the poster's posts still exist.

Or is it just that 80% can't be bothered to login, even though you only need to do so once in a blue moon.

I'm in complete disagreement - simply because it hasn't predicted the number of members by the 24th December 2019 I bought my calculater (every pun intended) when vat was 5%. I'd like to suggest this saves me money but it gets through three car batteries a month
