Well, it is an Aussie breakfast, and cafes in Australia often use that format, so I suppose that is the justification.

It'd be pretty cheap if it was Australian dollars. But it's obvious they mean £5.20.

Swill has got one on me. Why is it obvious? No address that I could see on the menu nor a currency. 5.2, say, could mean anything but presumably they are talking 'correct to one decimal place', thus in a decimalised currency, they are ignoring pennies but we would be allowed to assume any currency we like.

Well the OP said his breakfast cost £25 and it was in Paddington Central/Little Venice.
And when writing numbers it's common to drop trailing zeroes after the point. Admittedly not common in currency.
