Aaah, the politics of envy can find itself in some very strange corners sometimes. So what would the protesters have said if the richest people hadn't pledged the £770 million?

Those in France 'struggling to make ends meet' would be considered to be living a life of unbelievable wealth by the poor peasants who spent their whole lives building these cathedrals. There wasn't any social security then!
